What is the "presumption of innocence?"
Everyone who is accused of a crime are legally presumed innocent until proven guilty,
in other words, until they are convicted, either in a trial or as a result of a plead.
The prosecutor must convince the jury of the defendant's guilt, and also the defendant need
not say or do anything in his own defense. It's on the hands of the prosecutor to convince the
jury that the defendant is guilty, otherwise the defendant goes free.
